Q:  Where is the residency held?

A:  On the Utica College campus, in the Economic Crime and Justice Studies building (please see map in previous section on this website)



Q:  Do I need to bring my laptop?


A:  Yes. There are assignments during the residency that you'll be required to complete. 



Q:  Microsoft or Mac?


A:  Several important software tools used in the ECM program require the Microsoft Windows® operating system. As a student at Utica College, you can take advantage of generous software discounts offered through 

JourneyEd

. We encourage you to take advantage of this service. Mac users are recommended to install Windows on a 

Bootcamp

 partition, or take advantage of software like 

Parallels

 virtual desktop. You can use Mac OS for your coursework; Firefox is recommended as a browser.



Q:  I cannot see my course in Angel, why?


A:  Chances are you have a past-due balance from previous courses, or you have not completed and/or sent Utica College notification of your financial aid award (including loan counseling and the MPN).

Q:  Is printing available at the residency?


A:  You may use printing services located in the 212 Computer Lab. This lab is located on the second floor of the ECJS building.



Q:  Will I have time to go to the bookstore?


A:  Yes. There is time scheduled during lunch on the first day, and you may also visit the bookstore.  It is recommended that you order books online ahead of time if you are choosing to pick them up during the residency.
