Howard Mills has been New York State Insurance Department Superintendent since his nomination for the post by Governor George Pataki and confirmation by the New York State Senate in 2004. A former state legislator, Mr. Mills was first elected to the New York State Assembly in 1998 and was twice re-elected. While in the State Legislature, then-Assemblyman Mills served as the Deputy Minority Leader and sat on the Banking, Housing, Insurance and Ways and Means Committees. He was the Republican nominee for the United States Senate in 2004.
Mr. Mills' talk is presented by the Credit Bureau of Utica Fund of the Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties Speaker Series of Utica College. The event is co-sponsored by the James Sherman Society of Utica College, the Utica College Marketing Club, and the Society of Human Resource Management, Utica College Student Chapter.
