UC Students Present "Vagina Monologues"

- Utica College students will stage a performance of Eve Ensler’s Obie Award-winning "The Vagina Monologues" as part of the campus’s participation in the national "V-Day: Until the Violence Stops" campaign.

Tickets for "The Vagina Monologues" are $2 for UC students and $5 for non- UC students and may be purchased at the door.

Shows will be held in the college’s Strebel Auditorium on Friday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 3 p.m.

V-Day at UC and across the nation is intended to bring together a diverse group of women, students, faculty and staff who will perform the monologues with the hopes to raise money for this year’s beneficiaries. The proceeds will benefit both the YWCA’s Evelyn’s House Women’s Shelter and the Rape Abuse Incest National Network (RAINN).

V-Day is a worldwide movement launched in 1998 to stop violence against women and girls and to proclaim Valentine’s Day as the day to celebrate women and demand the end of abuse. For more information, visit www.vday.org.
