UC to Host Jewel Winds Quintet

- The Jewel Winds Quintet will take the stage for the first Professor Harry F. and Mary Ruth Jackson Lunch Hour Series performance of the school year. They will perform on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 12:30 p.m. in the Library Concourse.Based in central New York, Jewel Winds offers a varied repertoire including standard woodwind quintet literature, pops, new music, sacred and holiday selections, as well as children’s selections.
The quintet features Cornelia Brewster on flute, Janelle Bookhout on oboe, Colleen O’Neil on clarinet, Judy Marchione on bassoon and Ilze Brink-Button on French horn.
The Professor Harry F. and Mary Ruth Jackson Lunch Hour Series presents musical and literary programs each semester. All programs are free of charge and open to the public. The series is sponsored by the Utica College Social Cultural Committee.
