- Katie Maneen, Utica College junior, has been named alternate to the 2012 U.S. Track and Field Paralympic team.Maneen, a communication arts major at UC, is in line to replace a member of the team should they suffer an injury or are unable to race.
Maneen competed in the Paralympic Trials earlier this month, posting a third place finish in the 100-meter dash.
She will travel overseas as the Paralympics begin in London on Wednesday, Aug. 29.
