				<description>Senior linebacker Eric Kahl of the Utica College football team has been selected by the Stars and Stripes coaching staff to be a roster player for the Tazon de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) in Mexico on December 19th. With this honor comes the opportunity for Kahl to represent Utica College, Division III football, and his country, playing American football on an international stage.</description>

				<title>STRONG POWER PLAY UNIT GUIDES PIONEERS PAST #2 NEUMANN (Athletics News)</title>
				<description>The Utica College men's hockey team (1-0-1) defeated visiting and nationally-ranked No. 2 Neumann University 7-3 in ECAC Men's West Conference play at the Utica Memorial Auditorium Friday. Freshman Evan Chlanda netted two goals and the Pioneers went 6-for-10 on the power play to knock off the defending national champions.   The Utica victory highlighted the second annual AmeriCU "Pink the Rink" event where the Pioneers dawned special edition pink jersey's which were auctioned off through out the game.  All proceeds from the auction will benefit the American Cancer Society.</description>

				<description>Junior Meagan Sudik netted the game-winner in the 11th minute of the third period as the Utica College women's hockey team (1-2) defeated non conference foe Adrian College 4-3 at the Utica Memorial Auditorium Friday night.  Adrian led 3-1 midway through the second period but the Pioneers answered with the game's final three goals, capped by Sudik's game-winner, to seal their first victory of the season.</description>

The Pioneers totaled 311 yards of total offense, and freshman Jake Scott carried the ball 22 times for a career-high 108 yards and a touchdown, but it was not enough as the Hawks scored the game's final two touchdowns including the game-winner with 1:19 to go in regulation.</description>
