Description Green Chemistry: If We Don't Make the Change, Who Will?

Abstract:
The Siena College Green Chemistry Summer Institute explores methods for teaching the state curriculum using green laboratory experiments in collaboration with dozens of New York state high school teachers. A discussion of green chemistry, research at Siena, consulting for companies both large and small, and pedagogical work will paint a picture of the scientific life of one chemist from a small town in upstate NY.

The Asa Gray Seminar Series is sponsored by the Asa Gray Biological Society, and is the longest running seminar series at Utica College. Scientists are invited from throughout the region to present seminars on their ongoing research. All lectures are held in Donahue Auditorium, Gordon Science Center, at 4:00 p.m. An informal reception immediately follows. Call (315) 792-3028 for more information.
