Through wills and other estate plans, bequests have supported all aspects of education at Utica College, including scholarships, book funds, buildings and programs.
You Can Shape the Future
Few legal instruments are more valuable to the people and causes you care about than your will. Along with other important documents such as insurance or IRA beneficiary designations, it ensures financial security for your family and support for your favorite charitable causes.
Your bequest can have a direct impact on UC’s future excellence while offering practical advantages to you and your heirs: charitable gifts are 100% deductible from your taxable estate.
Your attorney or financial planner can advise you about ways to provide for your beneficiaries according to your preferences and, at the same time, provide for Utica College’s future through a charitable bequest.

Perpetuating Tradition through Bequests
A bequest may be large or small, restricted or unrestricted. An unrestricted gift provides Utica College with flexibility to use the funds from bequests where they are needed most.
You may have personal or professional interests you wish to support through your gifts. UC welcomes inquiries about specific uses for your bequest. Please Anthony Villanti, director of development, at (315) 792-3114 or avillanti@utica.edu.
For instance, a bequest to Utica College may memorialize a friend or relative, or carry in perpetuity the name of the donor. Through certain bequests, you may establish an undergraduate or graduate scholarship, endow a faculty chair, add to a specific library collection, expand program opportunities, or increase the College's general endowment.
