Mona Rice serves as director of human resources in the Office of Human Resources. Her responsibilities at UC include overseeing the human resources office, including payroll, benefits, and the student employment office. She also assists with day-to-day operations, including recruitment, training, and policies. To her position, she brings more than 20 years of experience in the field of human resources. A UC alumna, she also holds a master’s degree from SUNY IT. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources, as well as a local chapter member of Mohawk Valley SHRM. She currently serves on the board of Jervis Public Library, and is past president for the Rome College Foundation.

Katie Blaschak serves as the employment coordinator in the Office of Human Resources. She is responsible for coordinating all job postings and job searches for the college, and assists in the day-to-day operations of the office. She recently graduated from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. Katie is an active member in both the National and Mohawk Valley chapter of The Society for Human Resources.

Rebecca Sullivan serves as student employment coordinator in the Office of Student Employment. In her position, she assists all federal work-study and College employed students in finding employment at Utica College. She came to the school with many years of management and business experience. In addition to owning a local business, she was employed as assistant director of campus safety with Morris Protective Services, and then served as senior secretary in the College’s Office of Campus Safety.

Anne Flynn serves as human resources assistant in the Office of Human Resources. In her position, she is responsible for all employee tuition benefits, Banner position control, and Web development. She is also a contributor to the faculty/staff newsletter “Inside UC” and assists with training initiatives, special events, as well as the United Way Campaign. She earned a bachelor’s degree from SUNYIT and is a member of the local SHRM chapter.

Caren Ganeles Summers serves in the Office of Student Employment as senior payroll clerk. In her position, she is responsible for processing the student payroll. She works with a number of students, assisting them with their employment at the College. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English language arts from Hunter College in New York City, as well as certification in early childhood education. Prior to joining UC in August 2007, the lifelong resident of Westchester County managed a dental office in Westchester County.

JoAnne Williams serves as the benefits coordinator in the Office of Human Resources.
In her position, she is responsible for the administration and compliance of all employee and retiree benefits. JoAnne also oversees the Colleges disability and workers’ compensation programs and assists with payroll operations.  She brings more than 20 years of experience in the field of human resources and payroll as well as investment.  JoAnne is a current member of the local chapter of SHRM as well as CUPA-HR. She attended Mohawk Valley Community College and is currently pursing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration at UC.
