Typical Aid Package
Below is one example of how financial aid has helped Utica College students reach their educational goals. When reviewing this illustration, it's important to remember:

Incoming Freshman / New York State Resident
Julie lives with her parents in New York. Her brother is a senior at another college.
Income.
Last year, Julie's parents had a combined income of $58,332. Julie did not show any earnings for the year.
Financial Aid Package.
- Federal / State Aid -- Julie is eligible for grants from the federal Pell grant program and New York State's Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). She also qualifies for a federally subsidized student loan and a federal work-study job.
- Utica College Aid -- Utica College is providing a needs-based grant, as well as a residence hall grant to help defray the cost of living on campus.
- Other Financing -- Julie is eligible for a private loan. Her parents will use savings to pay part of her remaining expenses. They have also opted for one of UC's deferred payment plans.
