UC Hosts Reception for Potential Masters in Education Students


NYS Teacher Certification for Grades 1-12, Special Education, and Inclusion

Utica, NY (10/12/2005) - Utica College will host an information reception for prospective graduate students interested in pursuing a master’s degree in education. Teachers interested in any grade and discipline, including grades 1 through 12, special education, earning their professional certification with inclusion and special education are encouraged to attend this event.
The information reception will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. in the Utica College Library Concourse. It will include a panel presentation by UC education professors and current students in the program.
The information reception is free. A $50 graduate application fee for will be waived for attendees.
All prospective students who have a baccalaureate degree and are interested in teaching grades one through 12 or special education are encouraged to learn more about Utica College’s graduate opportunities. Master’s programs in education currently offered at Utica College include:
• childhood education
• adolescence education
• adolescence education apprenticeship teacher certification
• leadership and instruction for inclusive classrooms
• special education
• childhood and special education (dual certification)
• adolescence and special education (dual certification)
