Film@UC Presents "Mood Indigo"

Whirlwind Romance Faces Unusual Diagnosis

Utica, NY (02/11/2015) - On Thursday, Feb. 12, Film@UC will present the 2013 film “Mood Indigo,” winner of the 2014 award for Best Production Design at the César Awards in France.

The film centers around Colin and Chloe, a couple with an extremely unique story. Their love-story is set in the romantic city of Paris. The film follows them on their journey from their first meeting, to when Chloe unexpectedly falls ill.

While on their honeymoon, a water lily begins to blossom in Chloe’s lung. Although Chloe is weak and her deterioration is inevitable, Colin spares no expense trying to keep her alive. He works tirelessly to provide her with an endless supply of fresh flowers so that she can breathe. This romantic-fantasy gives an entirely new meaning to “in sickness and in health.”

This film is free and open to the public. It will be shown in the Macfarlane Auditorium in the college’s DePerno Hall at 7 p.m. For more information about this event, call (315)792-3047 or visit utica.edu/culture.
