Utica, NY (01/26/2015) - On Saturday, Feb. 7, Utica College’s Office of Student Financial Services will host a free workshop to help students and parents complete the 2015-2016 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form.

The workshop, “Come Do Your FAFSA With Us,” seeks to take the stress of filling out the FAFSA by having experts on hand to answer any questions and walk families step by step through the application. Individuals attending the workshop should bring their tax returns or relevant income and tax information in order to complete the FAFSA.

Colleges nationwide use the FAFSA to determine a student’s eligibility for financial aid, such as federal and state grants, loans and work-study programs.

The workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Utica College in the First Source Federal Credit Union Trading Room, located in Hubbard Hall. Students from any college are welcome to attend.

Students and parents can register for the event at www.utica.edu/sfs/event. Walk-ins are also accepted. This event is free and open to the public, and students do not have to be registered at UC to attend.

For more information about this event, or other events hosted by Utica College’s Office of Student Financial Services, contact the office at 315-792-3179 or sfs@utica.edu.
