Young Scholars to Host Book Fair at Barnes & Noble
Cheesecake Sales Will Also Benefit YSLPP

Utica, NY (12/03/2014) - Utica College’s Young Scholars Liberty Partnership Program (YSLPP) will host a Book Fair at Barnes and Noble in New Hartford on Sunday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.A portion of Barnes and Noble’s sales during the book fair will benefit YSLPP.
The fair will feature a book signing by local author and YSLPP graduate Mark Needham from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be multilingual story hours throughout the day, as well as a guest appearance from KISS FM’s S-Dot and performances by local musician Frank Diskin and band Kayla and the Tellers.
The book fair will also offer free gift-wrapping until 9 p.m.
Prior to the event or at the book fair, YSLPP will be selling cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.

YSLPP is a collaborative project between Utica College and the Utica City School District, launched in 1993. The multi-year program is designed to meet the challenge of motivating teenage students to stay in school, earn a New York State Regents Diploma with the Advanced Designation and pursue post-secondary education.
