Summer Gallery Exhibit Closes Today


"Art in Between" Featured Various Mediums

Utica, NY (07/21/2014) - On July 21, the Edith Langley Barrett Fine Art Gallery at Utica College will conclude the presentation of its summer exhibit, “Art in Between” with a closing reception.

The reception, which is the last opportunity to view the exhibit, is free and open to the public and will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Gallery.

The exhibit showcases the works and creations of several local artists as well as pieces from the UC Art Collection. The Art in Between collection, which received its name from the time between primary academic semesters at the college, featured various artistic mediums including paintings, prints, sculptures, photography, collage, puppetry and more.

Local artists whose works were showcased include L.P. Pacilio, J.D. King, Kyle Riecker, Mary P. Murphy, Steven Specht, Nancy Hardy, Amy Tarasek and Carolynne Whitefeather.

The Barrett Art Gallery, located on the lower level of Gannett Library, is open Monday through Thursday from 12 to 4 p.m. The gallery is free and open to the public.
