Utica, NY (02/13/2014) - On Saturday, Feb. 15, Utica College will host a free FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) workshop, titled “Come and Do Your FAFSA With Us.” The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will give students and parents the opportunity to fill out the FAFSA with the help from financial advisors from UC’s Student Financial Services office.

The FAFSA is used nationwide by colleges to determine a student’s eligibility for financial aid, including federal and state aid, as well as grants, loans and work-study programs. At UC, new students are encouraged to complete their FAFS by Feb. 15, and returning students by April 15.

The workshop will take place in Hubbard Hall and is free and open to the public. Students and parents should bring their tax papers to the workshop.
Registration is open to 60 people.

To register for the event, visit www.utica.edu/finance/sfs/registration.cfm. For more information, contact Student Financial Services at (315) 792-3179.
