Disability and Justice in Japan

Riddle to Present Geotalk Lecture

Utica, NY (11/20/2013) - Chris Riddle, assistant professor and chair of philosophy, will give his lecture “Japan: A Comparative Discussion of Disability and Justice” as a part of Utica College’s Fall 2013 Geotalk Series.

Riddle, who is also director of the Applied Ethics Institute at the college, will discuss how the predominant ideas concerning disability and justice in North America interact, conflict or affirm the dominant narrative amongst Japanese academics working in the area of social justice and human development.

The lecture will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 22 in Willard Conference Room, located in UC’s DePerno Hall. Refreshments will be served at 2:15 p.m., and the lecture is free and open to the public.
