When Aliens Attack


Film@UC Presents "Grabbers"

Utica, NY (10/16/2013) - On Thursday, Oct. 17, Film@UC will present the 2012 film “Grabbers,” directed by Jon Wright.

The cheeky horror-comedy takes place on a small island off of the west coast of Ireland. When marine life begin to appear on the beach and fishing boats go missing, the townspeople soon realize that blood-sucking aliens, who once fed on marine life, have now decided to feed upon the residents themselves. Trying to defend themselves against the aliens, they discover that the only way to stay alive is to get drunk.

The film is free and open to the public, and will be shown in Macfarlane Auditorium in the college’s DePerno Hall at 7 p.m. For more information call (315) 792-3047 or visit utica.edu/culture.
