UC to Host NYS Tax Practitioner Institute

Utica, NY (07/25/2013) - On Tuesday, July 30, Utica College will host the Summer 2013 New York State Tax Practitioner Institute at the Carbone Auditorium in the Economic Crime and Justice Studies Building.The half-day institute will provide important information for accountants, CPAs and tax preparers about taxes, pension incomes and more.
The keynote speaker will be Thomas Mattox, commissioner for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finances. Mattox will present changes and success within the taxation and finances department and how the department is committed to assisting New York State taxpayers.
In addition to Commissioner Mattox, Karen Martino, excise auditor and outreach specialist, Camille Siano Enders, deputy commissioner for the Office of Taxpayer Rights, and Suzanne Reusch, taxpayer service specialist, will also present information on a wide range of situations that New York State taxpayers may face.
Accountants will receive three CPE credits for attending the workshop.
The registration fee is $50 per person, and includes continental breakfast, morning break and all required materials needed for the day. The workshop starts at 8:30 a.m. and will end around noon.
