Utica Camera Club Presents Members' Juried Exhibit at UC


Guests invited to bring cameras, get advice at opening reception

Utica, NY (09/27/2012) - The Utica Camera Club’s Annual Members Juried Exhibit will begin on Monday, Oct. 1 in The Edith Langley Barrett Fine Art Gallery located in the lower level of the Library Concourse at Utica College.

The exhibit dates are Monday, Oct. 1 through Friday, Oct. 26. The opening reception will take place Oct. 1 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public. There will be a digital camera help session, so guests are invited to bring their cameras and questions. The exhibit will be closed on Oct. 6 and 8 in recognition of Columbus Day.

The annual members’ exhibit presents the large and small, representational to abstract, images from film to digital and beyond. The Utica Camera club began as a group of photographers in 1906 and is one of the oldest artist groups in Central New York.

Members hold monthly meetings on Fridays from September to May at 7:30 p.m. at the Heritage Health Center in the Community room. Members welcome guests at the meetings and the learning- centered photo competitions that take place each month. To learn more about the Utica Camera Club, visit www.uticacameraclub.org.
