UC's Specht Featured in National Collage Society Exhibit
Psychology Professor, Collagist Signature Member of NCS

Utica, NY (06/26/2012) - Steven Specht, professor of psychology at Utica College, has his artwork featured in the National Collage Society’s (NCS) 28th Annual Juried Exhibit in the Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa.The exhibit, which runs through Aug. 12, features collage artists from around the nation, ranging from representational to abstract.
The NCS had 528 submissions for this year’s exhibit and Specht’s collages, “I Began to Feel the Effects at 3000” and “It's Not Always Black-and-White,” were two of only 80 that were accepted.
This is the fourth time Specht’s work has appeared in the Annual Juried Exhibit. He became a Signature Member of the NCS last year with his third overall appearance.

The art of collage has become vibrant in the U.S. The NCS, based in Hudson, Ohio, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Currently, the NCS boasts over 400 members who contribute their work and help this form of art to grow internationally.
