Utica, NY (02/01/2012) - The office of Career Services at Utica College will sponsor a Social Science Career and Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. The fair will be held in the Library Concourse; it is free and open to the public.Opportunities within the fields of human services, education, health care, and not-for-profit administration will be highlighted.
Representatives from approximately 30 local agencies will be on hand to meet with students and members of the community interested in volunteer work, internship and fieldwork opportunities in a variety of areas. Some agencies will offer information on career and part-time opportunities. Agencies represented include Upstate Cerebral Palsy, Habitat for Humanity, the ARC Oneida-Lewis Chapter and the Utica Music and Arts Festival.
While typically strictly a volunteer fair, this year UC asked participating organizations to come with information on career opportunities as well.
