Congressman Hanna to Address UC Education Club Friday

UC Education Club annual dinner to feature Congressman as keynote speaker

Utica, NY (05/05/2011) - U.S. Representative Richard Hanna wil address the UC STEP Education Club about his work at the federal level on education policy.Hanna, who is a member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, will speak with students who are majoring in education and are planning to teach upon graduation. Hanna's remarks will include how the federal government will reshape the role it has in classrooms across the country.
Hanna is also a member of several Congressional Caucuses focused on education, including literacy, school health and safety, STEM (science technology engineering and math)education, and rural education.
Hanna will deliver the remarks at Grimaldi's Restaurant at 7:30 p.m.
UC STEP is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the suite of education programs at Utica College, including childhood, special education, adolescence, leadership and instruction for inclusive classrooms, and educational leadership and administration.
