Frank Bergmann Discusses Central Alps

Utica, NY (04/06/2011) - Utica College invites the community to follow Frank Bergmann, professor of English and German, on a four-country tour of the Central Alps as he presents “Peaks, Lakes and Passes” on Friday, April 8.His presentation will center on the natural beauty found in the various geographic regions that share ownership of the Central Alps, from Austria and Switzerland all the way south into Italy. As he moves from Lake Constance into Meersburg, Germany, then through Innsbruck, Austria and into northern Italy before finally touring several Swiss villages, audience members will get a unique view of the magnificent beauty along the Central Alps, from the picturesque mountain tops and crisp blue waters to the unique village life of those who inhabit the area.
Bergmann’s presentation is one of several Geotalk lectures the college hosts each year as part of its Cultural Event Series.
Peaks, Lakes, and Passes will be presented at 2:30 p.m., with light refreshments to start at 2:15 p.m., in the Willard Conference Room in DePerno Hall. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact kwarzal@utica.edu.
