Poet Guttman to Read at UC

Utica, NY (02/10/2010) - On Feb. 17, Utica College will host guest poet Naomi Guttman at 12:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Economic Crime and Justice Studies Building Auditorium. Guttman will perform a reading that is free and open to the public as part of the Professor Harry F. and Mary Ruth Jackson Lunch Hour Series.As a member of the Hamilton College faculty, Guttman is a well-known poet whose works have been widely published and distributed. She holds a MFA degree from the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College and a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Southern California. Guttman has received multiple awards for her book, Reasons for Winter and her book, Wet Apples, White Blood was published by McGill-Queen’s University Press in 2007. She has also won the A.M. Klein Award for Poetry for her book of poems.
