Pranksters with a cause take on corporate greed

Utica, NY (02/16/2010) - Film@UC will screen “Yes Men Save the World” on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. in Macfarlane Auditorium, DePerno Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

When main characters Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno get an idea in their heads, there is no stopping them. Throughout this 87-minute film, the two pranksters with a cause (Yes Men) inflict their own version of comedic vigilante justice on some of the most corrupt, greedy and uncaring corporations. Posing as top executives of all the corporations they hate, the duo land themselves in business meetings, conferences and even make it onto the most-watched TV news program in the world. The purpose behind their hobby of conference crashing is clear: they want to wake up the corporate audiences and expose them to the dangers of letting greed take over the country.
