UC Students to Participate in New Kind of Career Fair
Fortune 55 Company hosts Online Fair

Unique career fair allows students to participate from home computers

Utica, NY (09/21/2009) - Utica College will participate with a Fortune 500 Company to present a career fair. The twist? The career fair will be hosted online. This will take place Thursday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.Procter & Gamble is a Fortune 500 American multinational corporation that manufactures consumer goods. The company, also known as P&G, is the eighth largest corporation in the world.
The Procter & Gamble Virtual Online Diversity Career Fair is something UC students may have never experienced. It is an online career fair that students can access from their very own computer. Applicants will have the opportunity to speak with P&G employees from various areas of the company including research, marketing, consumer marketing and much more. During the career fair, applicants have the option of submitting resumes and actually applying for jobs.
Tina Williams, senior at Utica College and current intern, believes that this career fair will be very beneficial. “Procter & Gamble is a huge, widely-known corporation, and everyone knows who they are. To have a Fortune 500 Company provide a career fair for UC students is a major deal and will ultimately benefit the students who chose to participate in this. I for one plan on taking a look,” she said.
