Utica, NY (01/30/2009) - The Thomas R. Proctor High School Senior Choir will perform at Utica College Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 12:30 p.m. in the Library Concourse. The concert is free and open to the public. Choir Director Patty Scaramella and accompanist Alexis Wronka will lead the choir in a wide selection of songs and poems. The choir will perform songs in their repertoire ranging from traditional to modern. Solo performances by students who took top honors at the 2008 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Solo Festival will be featured. These performers are among the most talented and celebrated artists in the state as honored by NYSSMA. Series Director Professor David Moore is quite impressed with the group. “These are the best of the best,” he said. “To score as high as they did in the NYSSMA competition is a testament to their talent, hard work and sacrifice. We’re very pleased to have them perform as part of The Professor Harold F. and Mary Ruth Jackson Lunch Hour Series.”
