UC to Honor December Degree Candidates
154 Honorees Include Doctoral, Masters, Bachelors

UC will honor those students completing degree requirements mid-year

Utica, NY (12/08/2008) - Utica College will recognize its December degree candidates with a reception on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. in the Harold Thomas Clark Jr. Athletic Center. The 154 December honorees include six doctoral, 49 master’s and 99 bachelor’s degree candidates.President Todd S. Hutton will deliver remarks. Also speaking are John H. Snyder, president of the National Alumni Council, Sarah J. Sorge, candidate for master’s degree, Judith A. Kirkpatrick, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, Jonathon C. Lehman, candidate for Bachelor’s Degree, and Richard G. Fenner, associate professor of economics and recipient of the 2008 Virgil Crisafulli Distinguished Teaching Award.
Dominic Passalacqua, registrar, said, “The reception is an opportunity for the college community to recognize the accomplishments of those degree candidates who complete their studies mid-year.”
Students will receive a tassel to be worn with their other academic regalia at the formal graduation ceremony held in May 2009.
