Utica, NY (11/04/2008) - The Utica College Concert Band will perform a special Veterans’ concert Monday, Nov.10 at 7:30 p.m. in Strebel Auditorium in the Strebel Student Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert, performed each year to salute the past and present sacrifices that America’s men and women in uniform have made, will feature selections ranging from marches to patriotic music to popular music from the 1940s to the present. The band performs under the direction of Michael DiMeo, adjunct professor of music at UC. There will also be a flag presentation ceremony conducted by UC’s ROTC.

At the conclusion of the concert, veterans will be warmly recognized for their service to our country. Utica College invites all area veterans to attend this concert and accept the humble recognition of a grateful community and a proud nation.
