UC Promotes Two in Institutional Advancement

Freetage, Perry Take on New Responsibilities

Utica, NY (06/25/2007) - Katrena Freetage and Joseph Perry have been promoted at Utica College.

Freetage has been named executive director of alumni and parent relations and annual giving. The 2004 alumna joined UC earlier this year as development officer for major gifts. While attending UC, Freetage was three-time class president, worked for the college radio station WPNR, was a member of the Public Relations Students Society of America (PRSSA) and an officer of the student senate. Formerly Cornell University’s 70th reunion campaign officer, Freetage now resides in New York Mills.

Perry, a 1990 graduate of UC, has been named director of creative services. Perry worked as chief copywriter for Trainor Associates before becoming UC’s Web content manager in April 2005. One of his major responsibilities has been to provide UC’s Web site with new and relevant material, working hand in hand with UC’s Web personnel. In this new position, Perry will also provide leadership in the development of advertising at UC.

Both titles are new to the office of institutional advancement.
