UC To Honor December Degree Candidates
First Doctors of Physical Therapy Complete Requirements

Utica, NY (12/07/2006) - Utica College will honor its December degree candidates on Saturday (Dec. 16) with a reception in the Harold Thomas Clark Jr. Athletic Center at 2 p.m.
For the first time, graduate students who have completed the requirements for a doctoral degree in physical therapy will be among those honored. December degree candidates also include 131 bachelor’s and 45 master’s degree candidates.
Speaking at the reception will be: Todd S. Hutton, Ph.D., president; Anthony J. DeSarro, candidate for bachelor’s degree in criminal justice – economic crime investigation; Jan J. DeAmicis, Ph.D., professor of sociology; Elizabeth B. Snyder, president, National Alumni Council; Judith A. Kirkpatrick, Ph.D., vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty; and Ronald A. Cuccaro, chairperson, board of trustees.
“The reception is an opportunity for the college community to recognize the accomplishments of those degree candidates who are completing their studies mid-year,” said Dominic Passalacqua, registrar. Each student will be presented with the tassel to be worn as part of their academic regalia at the college's formal graduation ceremony to be held next May.
