Internet Presence Tech Company Supports Raymond Simon Convergence Media Center

Quadsimia LLC awards $2,500 grant to UC in support of Raymond Simon Convergence Media Center

Utica, NY (07/13/2006) - Quadsimia LLC, an Internet presence technology company, has awarded Utica College a $2,500 grant to help support the new Raymond Simon Convergence Media Center.Raymond Simon, considered one of the nation's most prolific public relations authors, established one of the country's first undergraduate public relations programs at Utica College in 1949.
Quadsimia's donation will help Utica College with its plans to build a broadcast studio, editing suites, and a control room with computers capable of adapting video and audio for online streaming. The convergence media center will add new technologies to Utica College’s public relations and journalism programs as well as play a critical role in the college’s effort to recruit and retain the best and brightest students and faculty.
"Quadsimia recognizes UC as a valuable part of our community," said Scott Gregory, director of research and development for Quadsimia, and a 1989 graduate of Utica College. "Our contribution to the convergence media center is one way that Quadsimia can help the college on its path of success and further enrich our area."
Headquartered in Central New York, Quadsimia provides Internet services and solutions for businesses around the globe. They have a broad range of experience, including working with the Department of Defense, health care management organizations, and sports league promotions.
About Utica College – Founded in 1946, Utica College is a comprehensive private institution that grants the Syracuse University baccalaureate degree and the Utica College master’s and doctoral degrees. The College, located in central New York, approximately 90 miles west of Albany and 50 miles east of Syracuse, currently enrolls an approximated 2,300 undergraduate and 350 graduate students in 31 undergraduate majors, 24 minors, 15 master’s and two doctoral degree programs.
