Over the last few years, many faculty have worked directly with Bob Knops through our Deltak partnership on instructional design and course related issues. Though Bob will still be involved throughout Spring semester, Ryan Anderson joined UC’s eLearning Faculty Services team full-time in January. Ryan will serve in a slightly different capacity than Bob, but will be instrumental in helping our faculty, especially undergraduate faculty, with course development and instructional design as we move to ANGEL, our new learning management system. We welcome Ryan to Utica College!
Here is a brief bio for Ryan:
After a successful run at Kaplan University where he focused on instructional design, media, technology and websites related to online graduate courses, Ryan designed online graduate school courses for HLC accreditation and was responsible for implementing process & solutions for web-based instruction.
Prior to his work in the instructional design arena, Ryan’s career was focused on a variety of editorial and writing based responsibilities including his time as a production and design editor for a professional journal focused on Criminal Justice.
Additionally, his mastery of English and Rhetoric enabled him the opportunity to teach as an adjunct for Wright College where he also designed online instruction for his sections. Ryan holds a Masters of English from East Carolina University with concentration in Literature & Rhetoric and a Bachelor’s in English from Univ. of Northern Iowa.
