Public Relations and Journalism: The UC Advantage
A pioneering institution in public relations education, Utica College developed the Public Relations and Journalism major to provide students with an extremely versatile skill set and knowledge base drawn from both disciplines. You will work closely with a faculty that includes seasoned public relations professionals, a former network television news producer, and experienced multimedia journalists, then apply your skills in real-world environments both on-campus and off.   

Curriculum
The combined program includes foundational courses in both public relations and journalism, with 300- and 400- level selections in:
  • media ethics
  • communications law
  • public affairs reporting
