Welcome to the Department of Public Relations and Journalism.

As a PRJ student, you’ll explore the exciting world of print, broadcast and interactive communication.

• If you’re interested in writing, news gathering and reporting, and the deadline-driven career of a journalist, check out the information on our Journalism Major and Minor.
   
• If you’re looking into a career in public relations, where you can build relationships and manage communication for a variety of different industries, look into our Public Relations Major.
   
• If you just can’t decide between the two, our dual Public Relations and Journalism Major might be a good fit for you as it prepares you to enter either career path.
   
• We also offer concentrations in Broadcast Journalism and Sports Communication so you can further focus on what you are most interested in.
