Biography


 

Dr. Jennifer Trost is Associate Professor in Utica College's School of Economic Crime and Justice Studies. She received her B.A. in history from Southwestern University and her Ph.D. in History and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.   She is the author of Gateway to Justice:  The Juvenile Court and Progressive Child Welfare in a Southern City.  Her research interests include race relations, social welfare, gender and the law, and extremist organizations.  Professor Trost teaches courses in criminology, juvenile justice, the history of crime and punishment in America, and women in American society.  She is the co-chair of the Criminal Justice/Legal Network of the Social Science History Association.  She grew up in Lubbock, Texas.
