Aging Issues in a Developing Country...
From a Health/Wellness Perspective

Travel to the Dominican Republic for 11 days in early January and...
  • tour nursing homes, hospitals, an orphanage, a senior center, a physical therapy clinic;
     
  • listen to lectures at the oldest university in the western hemisphere; and
     
  • visit rural elderly.
When Spring semester begins, students will participate in a 3-credit online course, GNT 321 – Cultural Competence and Health/Wellness Issues in Aging.

(Note: Trip is open to students who do not register for the course on a space available basis only.)
