ABOUT JECM

The Journal of Economic Crime Management (JECM) is an online forum for the discussion of theory, research, policy, and practice relating to economic crime and fraud management. The journal is structured to focus on five themes relevant to economic crime and fraud management: economic crime, including cybercrime; law and public policy; management; research and analytical methods; and technology, including fraud detection and prevention and security technologies.

JECM is supported by the Economic Crime Institute (ECI) at Utica College in Utica, New York. The editors are George Curtis, J.D., Executive Director of the ECI and Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Utica College, and Donald J. Rebovich, Ed.D, Associate Professor of Economic Crime Programs, Director of the Undergraduate Economic Crime Investigation Program, and Executive Director of CIMIP at Utica College.

The need for a journal that focuses on major topical areas of economic crime and fraud management has been discussed over the past few years at various conferences, including the annual ECI Conference, and at meetings of the Directors of the ECI. The Editorial Board represents many of the organizations who have argued for a journal in the fields of economic crime and fraud management. In order for the Journal to be successful, it must be embraced by the key contributors in these fields. In that spirit, we welcome offers of support, including article submission, peer reviewers, and constructive comments.

Initial funding for JECM has been provided by the Directors of the Economic Crime Institute (ECI). Utica College will support and house the JECM.

EDITORIAL POLICY

JECM welcomes contributions from individuals actively engaged in theory, research, policy, and practice pertaining to economic crime and fraud management. Submissions will be peer reviewed by the Editorial Board and, in cases where outside expertise is required, by invited peer reviewers. Because we are committed to full and vigorous discussion of issues, JECM will provide space for anyone who is criticized herein to respond.
