Alice S. Fisher Former Assistant Attorney General, Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice Alice Fisher’s signature initiatives included a crackdown on corporate bribes and a new strategy to attack international organized crime. Former Assistant Attorney General to head the Criminal Division in the U.S. Department of Justice, she supervised prosecution on matters including national security, international affairs, corporate fraud, and public corruption. After Hurricane Katrina, Fisher served as the chair of the Katrina Fraud Task Force, helping to target fraud and corruption in reconstruction and assistance programs. Prior to her work in government, she was a partner at the law firm Latham & Watkins where she specialized in white collar and internal investigations, including accounting and security fraud, health care fraud, and congressional investigations. Fisher earned her J.D. from Columbus School of Law, Catholic University in 1992 and a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University in 1989. Greg Farrell Investigative Reporter, Author Greg Farrell, investigative reporter for the USA Today, chronicles corporate malfeasance on two of the most electrifying scandals in business history, Enron and WorldCom. In his book, Corporate Crooks: How Rogue Executives RIPPED OFF Americans…and Congress Helped Them Do it!, Farrell reports on corporate fraud, government’s role in such cases, and the effect on investors that left shareholders with billions of dollars in losses. Farrell specializes in white-collar crime, legal affairs, and the regulation of corporate behavior. Winner of the American Business Press’s Jesse Neal Award for investigative reporting in 1996, Farrell is also the recipient of the Knight-Bagehot Fellowship for business journalism. Back |
