Utica, NY (09/12/2013)
- Utica College was host to a special guest this afternoon when New York State Department of Homeland Security Commissioner Jerome Hauer toured the Economic Crime, Justice Studies and Cybersecurity building on the UC campus.

Joined by Senator Joseph Griffo and Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi, Hauer visited the classrooms, labs and the new Northeast Cyber Forensics Center (NCFC). The NCFC provides digital forensic services for local and regional law enforcement, as well as for businesses, corporations and law firms, with the use of high-tech computers and sophisticated software in the laboratory. At the same time, cybersecurity students have the opportunity to intern in the facility, gaining invaluable work experience.

During his visit, Hauer talked with UC students, administration and faculty. Hauer said that he was very impressed with UC’s facilities and programs.
