Utica, NY (12/01/2008)
- ID Analytics, Inc., a leader in on-demand identity intelligence and a pioneer in identity risk management, has joined forces with the Center for Identity Management and Information Protection of Utica College (CIMIP) in a cooperative effort to better protect consumer identities.

CIMIP, the first research collaborative of its kind, is a partnership comprised of leading government, corporate and academic institutions. Founded in 2006, CIMIP is dedicated to the study of identity management, information sharing, data protection, and addressing the crimes of identity theft and identity fraud.

“ID Analytics is pleased to combine our efforts with CIMIP and its stakeholders, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Secret Service, to take action against identity misuse in the United States,” said Bruce Hansen, chief executive officer, ID Analytics, Inc. “The collaboration of academia, government and industry brings a multidimensional approach to fighting fraud that far outreaches the efforts of any single entity.”

As a logical outgrowth of Utica College’s suite of economic crime academic programs and its Economic Crime Institute, CIMIP seeks to provide resources for those who establish policy, regulation, and legislation. Through research and technical assistance applications, CIMIP and its stakeholders work toward a more secure personal and business environment, as well as more secure homeland. As the most recently added stakeholder, ID Analytics joins other stakeholders, including the United States Marshals Service, the United States Postal Inspection Service, and Syracuse University’s CASE Center.

ID Analytics is the leading provider of on-demand identity intelligence solutions that address an organization’s need to verify the identity of new customers and monitor the ongoing stability of existing customers. By combining identity activity and Advanced AnalyticsSM, ID Analytics helps companies manage identity risk, supplement credit decisions, and uncover new revenue opportunities. This process starts with the company’s proprietary ID Network®, the nation’s only real-time, cross-industry compilation of identity information. The ID Network includes 360 billion aggregated attributes and one billion consumer transactions. This depth of information facilitates the ID Network’s real-time ability to deliver reliable, high-resolution visibility into how an identity behaves across industries over time.

“ID Analytics brings to the table diverse experience in engineering, physics, marketing, computer science, brokerage, telecommunications, mathematics, and financial services. Through their experience, these experts are able to transform corporate challenges and scientific advances into relevant and effective solutions for a variety of industries,” said Donald Rebovich, executive director of CIMIP.
