e-Training for Faculty and Staff with elementK
Employees interested in improving their computer skills or learning new applications can do so through elementK online professional training. UC has purchased a number of licenses for the Office Productivity Module that will allow employees to complete courses at their own pace during an eight week "check-out" period. See the training schedule for Introductory Workshop times and dates.
Available training includes various levels of Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Windows. If you are interested in borrowing a license, please contact Mike Clapsadl at x3725. If you would like additional information about elementK, visit their website at www.elementk.com.
Instructional Design Sessions
Sessions for new course development are on a by appointment basis.
uticaonline WebCT Training
Training for students is offered at all times during the year by taking an online tutorial program developed by Prof. Alan Shapiro, Instructional Technologist at St. Petersburg College. Additional WebCT information for students can be found here.
Faculty can reserve a spot in the WebCT training courses at UC (see schedule below) to obtain introductory training on the webCT system. Since training is limited to six persons per class, faculty must RSVP to Marie Iannone, x3835, to reserve a seat. After completing the introductory course, faculty can attend additional training and request course design consultations from the Director of Instructional Technology.
