Flash Memory:


USB "thumbdrives" are a cheap and effective way to backup and carry files. They have high capacities and are compatible with the UC computer labs.

NOTE: Anything you save on portable media should also be saved on a hard drive of a computer you have readily availble to you, as any portable media is susceptible to physical damage or data loss.

Lockdown Kit


If you own a laptop, it is in your best interest to buy a lockdown kit to secure it. Laptops are easily stolen, and while theft is not endemic at UC, it is a good idea to protect your investment.

25' Cat5 Cable


We recommend 25 feet of Category 5 (Cat5) cable for use in your room. 25 feet ensures that if necessary, you can run the cable around the room comfortably.
