Our Mission



The IITS Computer Help Desk provides customer service oriented assistance to the Utica College community by providing training, technological resources, and repair services.  This is accomplished by providing both group and one on one training opportunities, by staying abreast on current trends in the technology industry through conferences, demonstrations and research, and by thoroughly researching computer related problems to find the best possible solutions.

The Computer Help Desk is staffed with one full time staff member and several work study students with various levels of expertise. The Help Desk utilizes each work-study's individual talents to provide the best support to the campus community. We make every attempt to resolve problems right away, but some problems cannot be handled immediately. After initial employee contact, the Help Desk uses an escalating priority list to determine the appropriate person for each situation. The Help Desk also solicits information on service calls through the use of an e-mail reply system. This system is used to make sure that a satisfactory level of services was provided for each computer services.
