Setting up UC Google Email on an iOS Device


Be sure you are connected to the internet before beginning the process. And make sure that you Enable IMAP on your account as well



iPad Mini Home Screen - Settings

Step 1.


If you have previously setup a Utica College Email Account on your iOS device; it is recommended that you delete the previous account because the settings may conflict. (instructions for removing previous account). Click on settings on your home screen

 
Add Account iOS

Step 2.


Go to the Mail, Contacts, Calenders, settings
and

Step 3.


Tap Add Account



Add Gmail for iPad and iOS

Step 4.


Choose Gmail



Input Gmail Information

Step 5.


Type your name, email address (it must include @utica.edu), account password, and a description, such as "UC Email" and tap next.
Save Gmail for iPad

Step 6.

Switch on Mail (you may also sync the Calendar and Notes) and tap Save

Your account should be receiving emails within 15 minutes.
 



Removing Previous Account:

Click on Settings on your Home Screen

 Delete Old Account
 

Step 2.


Go to the Mail, Contacts, Calenders, settings
and

Step 3.


Select the account you will delete, tap delete account and confirm the deletion. After you are done doing this step, you may go back to the beginning of the instructions
