Setting up UC Email on an iPod Touch or iPhone


Be sure you are connected to the internet before beginning the process.

Click printer icon at the bottom of the page for printable version.






Step 1. Open the Settings App on Your Device











Step 2. Go to the Mail, Contacts, Calenders, settings.

Step 3. Tap Add Account











Step 4. Choose Other

Step 5. Tap Add Mail Account









Step 6. Type your name, email address, account password, and a description, such as "UC Email" and tap next.

Step 7. It will attempt to connect to the email server, if it cannot connect to it automatically then it will show this screen. Fill in all fields, including the ones marked optional.  The Incoming Host Name is imap.utica.edu .  The Outgoing Host Name is smtp.utica.edu .  For the other fields use your UC email user name and password. When done entering information click next.

Now that your account is setup, click the Home Button to exit the settings menu and click on Mail to access your email.
