Utica College’s nursing program offers many benefits, including:

  • A four-year program leading to a baccalaureate degree

  • Courses not available through two-year programs, including health assessment, community health, statistics, nursing management, research methods, and critical care nursing

  • Opportunities to take elective courses in forensic nursing (nursing care for prison populations) and geriatric nursing (nursing care for the elderly)

  • The opportunity to minor in related fields such as sociology or psychology

UC’s nursing program is fully accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.

The nursing program at Utica College is designed to provide students with a liberal arts education as well as a professional foundation integrating nursing theory with skills required for nursing practice.
