Utica College's accelerated second degree in nursing offers current degree-holders an intensive 16-month program that will prepare them to take advantage of the
growing demand for skilled professionals in nursing. Nursing students at Utica College work with the exceptionally accomplished faculty in UC's nursing program, gaining knowledge and clinical experience in the most advanced practices and technologies.
Curriculum
The degree is completed in 16 months through a combination of online study and clinical placement experience. Admissions Requirements
Admission to this program requires:
- a bachelor’s degree in any field from a regionally accredited college or university;
- completion of all general core and prerequisite liberal arts requirements in Utica College's bachelor of science in nursing;
- a minimum GPA of 2.80; A grade of C is required in all prerequisite liberal arts courses and a C+ in all nursing courses.
The nursing program at Utica College is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
