I chose Occupational Therapy because it provides me with an opportunity to help individuals in need. Utica College was my first choice because of the student to teacher ratio, which assists in creating a close bond.

I wanted to pursue a career that would allow me to work with children and help them to overcome difficulties. I like to interact with children and their families to make a difference. Utica College is close to my home and I know that the college?s reputation is excellent for the Occupational Therapy Department.

I chose Occupational Therapy because it is a field that is about working with the whole person. Occupational Therapy is such an exciting profession because you are helping individuals with the everyday task of living "life". Life is full of opportunities and being an Occupational Therapist, helping others achieve is very fulfilling. I chose the Utica College weekend program so I could continue to work full time and come to school on the weekends. I also knew that there would be a small teacher to student ratio which I feel means a greater learning environment.

Backpack Awareness Day

Senior Occupational Therapy students (Class of '04) participate in campus-wide Backpack Awareness Day.
