Q: How do I declare/change/modify my major/minor?
A: First, speak with your academic adviser. If you have not yet been assigned an academic adviser or have any additional questions, contact
Academic Advising. Forms are available in Graduate and Extended Studies Office, Room 124, Addison Miller White Hall.
Q: When do course schedules become available?
A: This is how it works:
- Fall course schedules are available the first week in July;
- Winter course schedules are available in mid-November;
- Spring course schedules are available the first week in December;
- Summer course schedules are available the first week in April.
Course schedules are available on the Web site a week prior to the above dates.

Q: Where can I find a list of courses for the current and/or upcoming semester?
A: Course information is available:
- online via the BannerWeb system

- Continuing Education students can obtain a hard copy of the course list from the GES office, 124 White Hall (See our campus map for directions)

Q: Do I need to submit transcripts in order to take a course at UC?
A: No. Transcripts are not required, unless you are applying for admission to the College.

A: The technology fee covers the costs of:
- processing all student information
- using technology for record keeping (including computers, printing, online library access, etc.)
Q: How do I register?
A: To register, you must complete and sign the appropriate form and return it to the Office of Graduate and Extended Studies. You can do this:
- by downloading it from our Current Students page and faxing it back to the Office of Graduate and Extended Studies (GES) at (315) 792-3002
- by dropping by the GES Office at 124 White Hall (See our campus map for directions)
- by calling GES at (315) 792-3001 and having the form faxed to you.
Payment for classes is required at the time of registration (the exception is matriculated students during the pre-registration period).
- Credit Card payment may be made by phone at (315) 792-3001 if you are paying in full
- If you are making a partial payment using your credit card, you must have access to a fax machine

Q: Where do I go to register for classes?

A: For credit card purchases, you can order your books:

Q: I work during the day. How do I get my parking sticker and/or student ID card?
A: Here is how it works:
- Parking stickers — Campus Security is set up at the main entrance of White Hall (See our campus map for directions) at the beginning of the Fall and Spring Semesters. All you need is your driver's license and the license plate number of the car you will be driving, and they will issue you a parking sticker.
- Student ID card — These can be picked up at the Student Activities Office in Strebel Student Center. All you need to do is call them at (315) 792-3037 during regular business hours and set an appointment.

A: Here is what you need to do:

Q: Where can I find dates that UC classes will not be in session (Spring Break, etc.)?
Q: How will I be notified if a class gets cancelled?
A: Here is how it works:
- If a class is cancelled before the semester begins, all students are notified by phone.
- If one of your classes is cancelled on a particular night, you will be notified by e-mail. If there is sufficient response time, we will also notify you by phone.

Q: Can senior citizens receive discounts on classes at UC?
A: Yes. With respect to senior citizens (individuals age 65 and older), UC policy is as follows:
- Senior citizens may take up to two courses per semester for credit at one-third the current tuition rate, or they may audit the courses (take the courses without receiving credit) for free. Special consideration based upon need may be made by the president of the College.
- Senior citizens who are alumni, former Foundation Board members, former trustees, and retired employees may take courses for credit free of charge.
Note: Proof of age is required. You will receive a card as proof of eligibility for the tuition discount.
Q: What is a bridge student?
A: A bridge student is a high school senior who can, with a letter of recommendation from his/her high school guidance counselor, take classes at Utica College on a space available basis at a discounted tuition rate.

Q: Does UC offer the Syracuse University degree for Graduate students?
A: No. Graduate students at UC earn the Utica College degree. Undergraduate students earn the Syracuse University baccalaureate degree.

CLEP Questions
Q: How do I register for CLEP and when are the exams offered?
A: To register for CLEP, contact the Office of Graduate and Extended Studies at (315) 792-3001.
Exams may be scheduled as follows:
- Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (last exam given at 3:00 p.m.)
